I did it! I qualified for the upcoming Regional Championship in Milwaukee, WI! Typically the Regional Championship is far enough away from Michigan that I take more store credit in exchange for giving away the invite, but things broke in a way where I could snag a golden ticket.
RIW is having the second Pioneer RCQ of the season on June 8 and Phoenix is the deck to beat.
Hey everyone!
The Pioneer RCQ season has begun and I’m preparing for RIW’s event on May 11. I’m choosing to play Izzet Phoenix as it’s not only very powerful, but the lines are becoming more familiar with practice.
Today, I’ll be sharing a sweet little brew that I came up with. If you’re like me and like drawing cards and doing a whole lot of nothing, this is the deck for you… Today’s deck draws ALL THE CARDS!
The Standard RCQ season is in full swing and the metagame is looking healthy with a handful of decks realistically able to take down any tournament. The barrier to entry for paper Standard was a concern for me at the start of the season, but most of the valuable cards have multi-format utility. Being able to test each deck on Arena has also been a boon. Today I’m going to share my deck choice for RIW’s upcoming RCQ on March 9: Azorius Control.
I’m here today to talk about the RIW Hobbies upcoming 2024 $1K Series. We’ve really enjoyed running a successful series of $1K events in 2023 and look forward to continuing that trend into 2024.
Hey everyone!
I’ve been dipping my toes into all sorts of formats lately as RIW Hobbies began their 1K series. There are opportunities to win boatloads of store credit and I want to have as many shots as possible. Last month I split the finals of the Pauper 1K and now I’m trying my hand at cEDH with the RIW 25th Anniversary 1K on October 29.
Hey everyone!
I’ve been playing plenty of Modern and I feel confident playing the current best deck in the format: Rakdos Scam.
Hey everyone!
I’ve been playing Rakdos Midrange to great success on the RCQ circuit. Despite not having time to play the Regional Qualifier, I’ve split two finals and conceded after a top 8 split in the last three events. One day events with swaths of store credit to win is where I want to be currently with a young son and a demanding job.
It was another fantastic week of events here at the store in Livonia, Michigan and today we’ll be recapping last week’s action and looking forward to next week’s in-store Magic: the Gathering events.
