I’m back this week to discuss the best performing deck in Paupergeddon, Dimir Terror. I’ve been playing Mono Blue Terror recently to some success, but can’t argue with the results of an event with 983 players.
In all of Magic: the Gathering, there wasn’t really a format that existed that hit my buttons – so, I made up my own! If you’re a fan of multiplayer Magic and trying out playing with the most powerful cards ever created in a multiplayer setting – you’ve come to the right place!

I’m proud of the opportunity to once again provide an update to one of Magic’s longest updated decks, my The Danger Room stack! Today, I’ll be sharing my favorite picks for Battle Boxes, and unpowered Cubes alike. The cards I’ve selected from MTG’s newsest expansion, Wilds of Eldraine, to make the cut in my “big stack” have to carry their weight in 1v1 Battle Box play, 1v1 Cube as well as EDH Cube. So, I tend to gravitate toward cards that I view as having a lot of “play” to them without being too broken for Limited style gameplay my stack supports.
RIW Hobbies had a big week of events at the store this past week and we’re excited to recap all the fun events, twists and turns in our local metagame, as well as highlight upcoming events that will be taking place at the store soon.
Welcome to RIW Weekly MTG Tournament Review and Events, the column where you can read about the metagames for our weekly events as well as learn about our upcoming tournaments and in-store MTG play.
