Let me start by saying that I’m 100% unfamiliar with the Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise and because of that I assumedMTG AVATAR was going to be another Universes Beyond “Not for me” set (especially coming on the heels of the MTG Spider Man set which I found to be flavorfully unappealing and quite frankly a weak collection of cards). So, going into this spoiler season, my expectation was that I would not like this set because of my unfamiliarity with the non-mtg source material and recent trends.
Today I would like to share my eight favorite cards from Modern Horizons 3. The set is new and unique enough where I’m not comfortable ranking them from 1-8 quite yet. Overall I’m very happy with the set as it contains plenty of interesting additions to forgotten archetypes and made some old favorites like Snapcaster Mage playable yet again. Most of the cards I like change the Modern metagame without warping the format. It’s clear WOTC learned from the mistakes of MH2.
Hello Pauper people! Starting this Friday cards from the new Modern Horizons 3 set are going to be legal to play in paper Magic. If you have been playing Pauper for a while then you know that means that there will likely be a shake up in the format as there were with previous Modern Horizon sets. Today I want to share with you my top common cards from Modern Horizons 3.
Today I’m going to take a break from deck techs and metagame breakdowns and focus on some improvements to Magic I would like to see. We play a great game, but there’s always room to make it even better. These are just my opinions and each topic is multi-faceted.
Brother’s War and Phyrexia One are both strange, but exciting, MTG expansionss for outstanding payables for Battle Boxes and Battle Box themed Cubes. Today, I’m going to cover the cards that I think find themselves most at home in a Battle Box “big stack” and also have great application in my Cube version of the stack.
Today, I’ll be sharing my most powerful and favorite Commander deck to play, Rasputin Dreamweaver. I don’t play it often because it’s so powerful but I’m always super-stoked to find the right “pick-up game” to unleash Old Rasputin.
Dominaria United is out and has been making plenty of waves across formats. I’ve been playing Modern, Pioneer, and Standard lately and will be discussing my top ten favorite cards and cycles from Magic’s newest competitive set.
