Hey everyone!
Pro Tour: Modern Horizons 3 has come and gone and we are left with a new boogieman- Nadu, Winged Wisdom.
Hello Pauper people! Starting this Friday cards from the new Modern Horizons 3 set are going to be legal to play in paper Magic. If you have been playing Pauper for a while then you know that means that there will likely be a shake up in the format as there were with previous Modern Horizon sets. Today I want to share with you my top common cards from Modern Horizons 3.
Pauper received a shakeup with a ban on All That Glitters just in time for RIW’s 1K on May 25. Today I’m going to review the metagame and how it affects my weapon of choice, Dimir Terror.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to play in a Pauper 1K hosted by Sylvan Factory Games in Ann Arbor, MI. Not only did I play in the tournament but also the owner allowed me to peek behind the curtain of the metagame as a whole.
RIW is proud to bring the great competitive and friendly atmosphere of the store to Twitch with our new stream lineup. Not only will we continue to be streaming our $1k series and other special events, but you can also now see RIW players at least four days a week from anywhere that can access Twitch!
RIW is hosting a Pioneer 1K on April 6; today we’re going to explore the format in preparation. They also have a weekly Pioneer event at 6PM every Thursday to get in some last minute practice.
Today I’m going to discuss the top decks I need to respect and the broader metagame when updating my weapon of choice, Dimir Terror:
In the closing of 2023 I’m going to share my top five archetypes that I played this year. This year my son was born so I decided to focus on a couple easy to pilot decks in each format rather than the flavor of the week. Thankfully I had plenty of great results despite this change in approach.
I’m enjoying my cEDH arc, but Pioneer, Pauper, and Modern received a shakeup in yesterday’s B&R announcement. Constructed formats can become stagnant during the winter months as there are fewer large tournaments due to the holidays.
Today I’m going to take a break from deck techs and metagame breakdowns and focus on some improvements to Magic I would like to see. We play a great game, but there’s always room to make it even better. These are just my opinions and each topic is multi-faceted.
