Last weekend was an exciting one for MTG Pauper at RIW Hobbies, as we hosted our fourth Major Event of the 2026 Pauper Championship Series season! Much thanks to the SIXTY players who joined us and competed!
In today’s article we’ll be covering Top 8 decklist as well as the metagame breakdown for the event.
We still see a very high % of rogue decks in the field, and the trusty mainstays of the format were all selected at about the same rate as at our Weds Weeklies.
The real story of the event, though, is how strongly the Trusty mainstay decks outperformed the “Others.” ⅞ T8 slots were converted by mainstay decks–especially Dimir, which earned ⅘ of the total pilots T8 births. 80% conversion rate is pretty incredible.
It is also interesting that while Dimir Terror comprised 50% of the Top 8, no Dimir player made the finals! Still 80% conversion rate to Top 9 is niiiiice.
We play Pauper at RIW Hobbies every Weds at 6PM and our next Major Championship Event kicks off on July 11th.
