Despite my affinity for Modern and being knee-deep in the Standard RCQ season, I’ve been getting back into Pauper for RIW’s Pauper Championship Series. Not only are there eight major events this year, but also a 5K invitational in December 2026 for the top 16 point leaders that pays out to all participants.
I’ve been getting up to speed on Standard in preparation for the current RCQ season. RIW has an RCQ scheduled on February 14 and March 14 I plan to attend.
I’ve been having fun trying different Riddler midrange decks and I’m happy to report Grixis Frog is back on the menu!
I’ve been exploring Jeskai Blink in Modern because the strategy is both fun and provides plenty of deckbuilding options. Today I return with a different take on Jeskai Blink that combines the aspects I’ve liked so far: being competitive on the draw and blue interaction. In addition, I’ll post a sideboard guide!
The November B&R announcement has come and gone; with no changes to Modern I can spend more time developing different takes on my favorite archetype, Jeskai Blink.
As the Standard RCQ draws near a close I have been reinvigorated to play my favorite format – Modern. While I have been playing my fair share of Dimir Frog, it’s shelved for the time being due to a negative matchup against the new hotness – Jeskai Blink.
I did it! I qualified for the upcoming Regional Championship in Milwaukee, WI! Typically the Regional Championship is far enough away from Michigan that I take more store credit in exchange for giving away the invite, but things broke in a way where I could snag a golden ticket.
The Standard RCQ season is ramping up; today I’m going to share a sideboard guide for my favorite deck- Dimir Midrange. I’m going to focus on the big four decks: Cauldron, Dimir, Mono Red, and Azorius.
The Modern RCQ season has come to a close so my attention is now on the Standard season. I had a great run with Dimir Midrange in Modern so I’m naturally looking to run it back in Standard. Kaito, Bane of Nightmares hasn’t let me down yet. RIW will be running Standard RCQs so be on the lookout as dates get solidified.
I didn’t think I’d be writing this again, but I’m back with another Dimir Frogtide sideboard guide!
Over the last few months I have been trying different decks in Modern, but none of them spoke to me. I went back to Frogtide with a few updates from lessons I learned playing new decks – it’s been a real hero’s journey.
