Today I’m going to take a break from deck techs and metagame breakdowns and focus on some improvements to Magic I would like to see. We play a great game, but there’s always room to make it even better. These are just my opinions and each topic is multi-faceted.

After writing an article about Blue Farm I piloted it to a top 16 finish at the RIW cEDH 1K last Sunday. There were 47 players which was very exciting for RIW’s first competitive EDH tournament. I was worried the lack of proxies would hurt attendance, but that was quite the impressive showing.

I’ve been preparing for RIW’s 25th Anniversary cEDH 1K. Tivit was my frontrunner for the last month because of its relatively simple play patterns, but I can’t ignore the power of Tymna/Kraum (Blue Farm). The combo lines can be complex, but the deck makes the best use of the format’s staples.
